The mask can be worn several times and continuously for up to 6 hours, depending on the situation. For correct use:

• The mask should fit snugly over the mouth and nose. Exhale forcefully to verify proper seal between face and mask. If air is leaking around the nose, the adjustment of the cord locks on the earbands and nose clip needs to be adjusted.

• If the mask shifts on the face, it must be readjusted.

• If the mask becomes wet, freezes, or if it suddenly becomes difficult to breathe through the mask, exit any potentially contaminated area immediately and remove the mask from your face.

• Facial hair and other conditions that prevent a tight seal between the mask wearer's face and the mask can significantly reduce the level of protection provided by the mask.

• Prolonged use in certain situations, such as cold weather, can lead to the build-up of excess moisture, which can reduce the mask's air permeability and shorten its maximum useful life.

The Livinguard PRO MASK without valve is classified as a type I medical face mask and is accordingly certified according to the European standard EN 14683:2019. It has a tight fit and provides a bacterial filter function of at least 95%.

Thanks to its self-disinfecting properties, the Livinguard PRO MASK can be reused up to 210 times without a valve. As tests by the Free University of Berlin and RWTH Aachen show, the Livinguard technology continuously inactivates 99.9% of SARS-CoV-2 in addition to other pathogens and can thus also protect against infection through contact (cross-contamination).

Prof. Dr. Gerhard Hücker, scientific expert in the field of technical hygiene at the Central Office of the Federal States for the Health Protection of Drugs and Medical Devices (ZLG), says: "The PRO MASK without valve has all the qualities of an FFP2 mask and also provides demonstrable protection against the spread of the corona virus through cross-contamination. This applies to known variants as well as virus mutations.”

In addition, the PRO MASK can be reused up to 210 times without a valve and only needs to be rinsed off with cold water once a week. It thus contributes directly to reducing the enormous amounts of waste associated with the use of single-use masks.

The PRO MASK without a valve thus makes a direct contribution to containing the corona pandemic and is a sustainable and cost-effective alternative to FFP2 masks, common surgical masks and other standard fabric masks.

With its three layers, the PRO MASK offers the highest level of protection. The three layers are indicated on the plastic packaging or on the label sewn inside with the size indication:

• Outer: 100% Cotton
• Middle: Polypropylene
• Inner: 100% Cotton

The STREET MASK consists of only 2 layers of cotton with the patented Livinguard technology: it allows easier breathing than the PRO MASK, but the filtering performance is lower than that of the PRO. That is why the STREET MASK is not a medical face mask, but a community mask without CE.
How do I disinfect my mask?
1. Spray the mask completely on both sides
2. Hang them up to dry
3. As soon as it is completely dry, you can wear it again

1. PHMB is a polymer. The name PHMB represents several molecules. There is no harmonized classification for PHMB by ECHA.2. The PHMB content on the face mask is less than 0.1%. According to GHS, it does not have to be listed in the safety data sheet.3. PHMB is approved by ECHA for PT2, which includes use "in textiles, fabrics, masks, paint and other articles or materials for the purpose of manufacturing treated articles with disinfectant properties".4. It has been shown that when breathing through the Livinguard mask, no PHMB is released from the fabric, so there is no risk of the substance being inhaled.

We recommend that children between the ages of 7-10 (only available as PRO MASK without a valve) wear size S. We recommend the mask in size M for children over the age of 10 and women. We usually recommend for men to choose the mask in size L. However, please keep in mind that every face and every head shape is individual and there may be deviations. If you are unsure whether you have a small or large face, it is better to order the mask in size L, as the larger masks can also be put on very tightly using the ear straps.

Since the face masks are highly sensitive hygiene items, the face masks cannot be exchanged after the goods have been opened.

With daily use and normal use, only one hand wash per week (approx. 2 minutes, max. 30 degrees) is required to remove dirt and sweat. Then let it dry in the shade. Do not wring or pull the mask. Do not use bleach or detergents. Do not put in the washing machine, oven, microwave or dryer. Do not dry clean. Reusable up to 30 washes. The mask (and gloves) remain germ and virus free thanks to its coating, so there is no need to heat the mask. This would only damage the filter layer in the mask.

The face mask Pro and the gloves are provided with a unique, anti-viral coating. This coating inactivates bacteria and viruses. The products should only be cleaned if there is obvious contamination, such as make-up stains. If the mask is worn daily and extensively, we recommend cleaning the mask with water once a week (see: "How do I wash Livinguard products?").

Our products are dermatologically tested and there are no known allergies to the substances used.

The PRO MASK is CE-certified as a risk class 1 medical device according to EN 14683:2019. The effectiveness of the Livinguard substance used has been proven in studies specifically against SARS-CoV-2, but also against other influenza viruses (RWTH Aachen / FU Berlin).

The PRO MASK with valve, STREET MASK and the FITNESS MASK are not medical devices.

We offer the PRO MASK both with and without an exhalation valve. The valve is designed to reduce exhalation resistance and thus make exhalation easier. This can be a relief, especially for everyday life. When you breathe in, a membrane in the valve closes, preventing viruses or bacteria from entering through the valve. However, the face mask with valve allows air to escape “unfiltered” through the valve when you exhale. This makes it easier to exhale, but the protection from others decreases. We can therefore not guarantee third-party or self-protection.

The mask should not be exposed to extreme temperatures, high humidity, potentially contaminated areas, dust and harmful substances. During storage, the mask is best kept in a clean, sealable bag or breathable container.

The PRO MASK (and STREET) service life of 210 days begins when the mask is worn for the first time. Tests have shown that when washed weekly (every 7 days), Livinguard fabric antiviral technology remains active after 30 washes. Therefore we recommend a service life of 210 days, 30 washes. The lifespan of 210 days cannot be extended by reducing the number of washes or wearing time.

To ensure continued protection, the mask should be replaced after it has been hand washed 30 times, has exceeded its shelf life of 24 months from the date of manufacture, or has become damaged.

The Livinguard fabric used in the mask requires gentle washing without detergent or bleach to maintain the active antiviral & antibacterial effect. High temperatures and aggressive detergents can eliminate the active protection of the mask.

It has been scientifically proven that the fabrics treated with Livinguard technology in the Livinguard face mask neutralize 99.99% of SARS-CoV-2. This protection is maintained even after multiple wears and washes if the mask is used as recommended.

However, the use of a Livinguard mask is not a substitute for careful personal hygiene practices as recommended by the relevant authorities. In addition, it cannot prevent infection if it is not worn or if the virus enters the respiratory tract by other means, such as cross-contamination via the person's hand.

The PRO MASK consists of three different layers: The inner and outer layers are made of cotton, which is provided with a coating that is polycationically (positively electrically) charged using the patented Livinguard process. Between these two layers of cotton there is a filter medium as a third layer that ensures that the viruses and bacteria are stopped and trapped and destroyed between the two antiviral layers. This forms a connection with the positively charged polycationic cotton of the PRO MASK. This association results in virus and bacterial envelope rupture and efficient inactivation. This has been proven against a broad spectrum of microorganisms. This includes both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, viruses and fungi.

In principle, the Livinguard technology works in the same way as the PRO MASK, except that the filtration level is lower, which allows easier breathing. The STREET MASK is not a medical product.

The fitness face mask is made of particularly fine-meshed bamboo microfiber.

If the mask is damaged or has expired, the mask should be disposed of in accordance with local waste regulations.

Unless otherwise specified and to avoid cross-contamination, the mask should be bagged first and then discarded in the general waste.
