The Cologne trading company LUORO, which focuses on the production of sustainable and future-oriented consumer goods, will also take on even more responsibility within its own city limits in the future and is now part of the newly founded forum "Companies engaged in Cologne".
The "Companies get involved in Cologne" forum was founded in May 2023 and stands for responsible, active and sustainable action. The main goal of the forum is to create a place where Cologne companies can network and contribute more to the development of the city in order to strengthen the Rhine metropolis economically in the future.
The AG “Companies get involved in Cologne” initially has ten companies that want to work together for the city's social and ecological concerns in the future.
The range of topics that are to be tackled as a priority is wide and diverse: the promotion of vocational training and education through so-called "Mut-Mach-Aktionen", sustainable mobility in the city of Cologne or sustainable urban development are just a few of the topic excerpts , which were discussed at the first forum meeting on May 31, 2023.
The next meeting of the “Companies get involved in Cologne” forum is expected to take place in November 2023. In addition, LUORO plans to support even more sustainable and social projects in and around Cologne in the future. “Big changes don't happen overnight and especially not by a single organization, but only through collaboration. A city thrives when companies recognize their responsibility and start acting sustainably and investing socially," says LUORO co-founder Burak Dönmezer.
