Plastic waste pollutes our oceans, forests and parks. A particular driver of this pollution is the dental and oral care sector. Here, a particularly large number of small-scale products are manufactured and used using single-use plastic, which soon end up in the bin again.
Interdental brushes, dental floss, mouthwash or toothpaste are either made of or packaged in plastic. In Germany alone, several hundred million plastic dental care products end up in the garbage every year.
LUORO is defying this environmental threat with its new, sustainable dental care brand " Paperdent " by replacing plastic with FSC paper wherever possible, thus reducing plastic waste. The four previously available Paperdent products are a mouthwash in a new paper-composite carton, vegan dental floss in a paper carton, patented paper interdental brushes and toothbrush tabs in a paper bag.
This commitment to combating plastic waste through product innovations has now been rewarded by the international jury of the European Green Award. Paperdent was chosen as the winner in the "Consumer Goods - Dental Care" category!
